Maxime Sauvage est un artiste interdisciplinaire. Son travail mêle l’art-action, l’installation, la sculpture, la vidéo, l’art sonore, la micro-édition et la création de structures communautaires. À travers ces approches, il explore l’install’action comme méthode de mise en récit et de rencontre. Il a complété une maîtrise en arts visuels à l’Université Laval, son projet de recherche-création interrogeait notre rapport à l’hiver en s’attardant au déneigement.

Maxime était le cofondateur de Limina (2020-2025), un espace qui était dédié aux pratiques incertaines en arts actuels. Avec Manon Paquet et Félix Tremblay, Maxime a formé Le Collectif Sans Acronyme (LCSA) en 2024. LCSA s’intéresse à la notion de précarité à travers des installations multidisciplinaires.

Il est titulaire d’un baccalauréat en Beaux-Arts (sculpture) de l’Université Concordia et d'un diplôme en design de l’environnement de l’UQAM. Il a également étudié l’architecture à l’Université Dalhousie et travaillé pendant cinq ans comme photoreporter à La Voix de l’Est à Granby.

Maxime est aussi DJ sous le pseudo Limina Nocturnal Sounds. Actuellement DJ résident sur la webradio La Face B, il y présente une émission mensuelle où il propose une sélection de field recordings et de pièces de musique ambiante ou expérimentale. Son travail a également été récemment diffusé sur NTS Radio.

Maxime Sauvage is an interdisciplinary artist. His work combines performance art, installation, sculpture, video, sound art, micro-publishing, and community building. Through these approaches, he explores installation art as a method of storytelling and encounter. He completed a master's degree in visual arts at Laval University, where his research-creation project explored our relationship with winter by focusing on snow removal.

Maxime was the co-founder of Limina (2020-2025), a space dedicated to uncertain practices in contemporary arts. Along with Manon Paquet and Félix Tremblay, Maxime formed Le Collectif Sans Acronyme (LCSA) in 2024. LCSA explores the concept of precariousness through multidisciplinary installations.

He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (sculpture) from Concordia University and a diploma in environmental design from UQAM. He also studied architecture at Dalhousie University and worked for five years as a photojournalist at La Voix de l'Est in Granby.

Maxime is also a DJ under the pseudonym Limina Nocturnal Sounds. Currently a resident DJ on the web radio station La Face B, he hosts a monthly show featuring a selection of field recordings and ambient or experimental music. His work has also recently been broadcast on NTS Radio.
